Shoot Ideas: Glitter

Last night I decided that I wanted to do a shoot using glitter. I put something about it on Facebook and was surprised by the response. I now have a photographer, several models and a hair/MUA on board so it looks like I might actually be able to make it happen.
These are a few of my inspiration photos from Pinterest. I have become rather obsessed with Pinterest recently.

I know this picture doesn't have any glitter but I'd love a pretty location like this on or near water. I do have a location in mind but I'll have to go and check it out before I decide.

*I don't own any of these photos if you do/know who does please let me know and I'll happily credit.

Styling: Happisburgh Beach - Part 2

Photography: Sean Parnell
Model: Ginger Koneko
Floral adornments: Bohemian Love Story

Just thought I'd show you the last few photos from the shoot I styling at Happisburgh beach last month. I have another shoot with Sean coming up on Thursday (and another at the beginning of next month) so I'm super excited to create some more beautiful photos with him!

Behind the Scenes: 1920's Music Video (April 2013)

On Saturday afternoon I got a text from my lovely model friend Amanda asking if she could borrow an outfit for a music video she had agreed to be an extra in the next day. She didn't know much about it except it was 1920's themed. I don't own anything that old (and if I did it would probably be too delicate to wear) but we did manage to put together an outfit which, although not 100% authentic, I was very happy with. I went down for a little while (they were shooting in one of my favourite local pubs, The Birdcage) but left before the action started. Amanda sent me a few photos though that I thought you might like to see.

Dress: Topshop (sale) // Headband: New Look (sale) // Earrings: Accessorize // Scarf: borrowed
I'd also given her long black gloves but they ended up on someone else (as you will see...)

The hair was done by the amazing Flamingo Amy and make-up by Laura Jane Sessions.
I have no idea what the final video will look like but I have seen a sneak peek of one of the leading ladies....

I think it will be quite a while before we see the finished video but I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Styling: Happisburgh Beach (April 2013)

So these are the photos I've been dying to show you. I styled this shoot on the Norfolk coast the Sunday before last. The brief was for a beautiful, natural, floaty feel and I can't tell you how pleased I am with the results. It helps that the model Jude (she works under the name Ginger Koneko, you can like her page on Facebook) is stunning and the photographer, Sean Parnell (also on Facebook) is amazingly talented. We shot in quite a few different locations - on the beach, in the rock pools, on the rocks, in the dunes so there's a good variation between shots. I borrowed the floral adornments from the lovely Hannah of Bohemian Love Story (again, find them on Facebook) and they worked so well with the looks I wanted to create. I styled 5 looks in total so there are two more to come but I couldn't wait any longer to share these with you!

I hope you like them as much as I do. I'd love to hear what you think!

I've got a really busy weekend this week so this is a cheeky scheduled post.
I thought you might like to see these gorgeous photos from a shoot I helped to style a few weeks ago.Amanda, the model, came to me with some photos and she wanted a similar look for a shoot she was doing. The photos all featured these huge billowing dresses but I said unless it's designer/catwalk we would struggle to find anything with that amount of material so I put these looks together using the floatiest (am I making up words now?) dresses I had and a bit of trickery with some matching fabric. I think these photos are amazing and she looks absolutely beautiful!

Styling: Elm Hill, Norwich (March 2013)

Thought you might like to see a few photos from a shoot I styled last week. I think they look absolutely fab and, considering the poor model Hilary was so cold she cold barely feel her arms by them end of it, I think you'll agree she looks beautiful.
The photographer was Katie Atkins and I just adore the soft, romantic look of these photos.
You can check out Katie's Facebook page here.
